What to expect
At Eccleshall Dermatology Clinic a patient led, evidenced based approach to treatment, provides a bespoke service and reassurance over any concerns you may have. During the consultation process with a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner and Prescriber your treatment aspirations are acknowledged and suitable treatments are recommended based on researched clinical advice, along with recommendations for the most suitable treatment plan and skin care.
In addition to in person consultations, the clinic is able to provide consultations either via online video or telephone, depending on individual requirements and concerns.
VIDEO / TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS
A remote online consultation (by video or telephone) can be very useful in helping to diagnose and treat the following conditions -

-
Acne
-
Rosacea
-
Facial rashes
-
Eczema that is mild or moderate
-
Psoriasis that is mild or moderate
-
Follow up consultations where conditions require review and medications require managing
A video consultation is also useful for discussing a procedure that is being planned to take place at a later date, such as treatments for certain types of keloid / acne scarring or injectable cosmetic treatments.

A video or telephone consultation is also a good opportunity to review and enhance your existing skincare.

Once your appointment is booked, you will receive a link asking for further details including medical history. Images will be requested prior to your appointment.
CONDITIONS REQUIRING A FACE TO FACE CONSULTATION
There are some restrictions between video and telephone consultations as they do not allow the same degree of physical examination that may be necessary. For this reason the following are not seen by remote video or telephone consultation and require a clinic based appointment -
-
Mole checks
-
Total body skin checks
-
Severe acne, psoriasis or eczema
-
Complex skin conditions
-
Blood tests
Your Plan
INITIAL CONSULTATION
Face to Face or Video
A full medical history is obtained to ensure the most appropriate and effective treatment plan is recommended, based on clinical diagnosis, your requirements and budget.
This may involve Prescription Only products, and therefore a Consent will be obtained and discussed.

This will also allow to periodically review treatments and tailor to your individual needs, especially if there are any medical issues or allergies that require specific consideration.
The consultation process is a key part of your treatment journey, and helps to deliver the most effective treatment programme for you.
